ROCCO GENO VADALA
Rocco Vadala is an award winning artist who resides in NE Ohio with his lovely wife, Mary and their dog Buddy. Rocco takes the approach of creating through spontaneous movement and flow of the elements. Many of Rocco's paintings are actually experiments in the use of various mediums. Claiming to be a master of NO form of art, Rocco likes to try and keep his own influence out of the coloring of the painting as much as possible. By removing himself in the last final drying phase, he actually allows the painting to form on its own. A typical painting will start by splattering plaster and paint on a canvas, using his brushes and fingers and anything availible to manipulate the texture and adding more paint , water, woodstain etc.etc. to it. The final phase or the BIRTH of the painting is when he applies water or bleach or other liquid to the painting and gets it flowing. Several of the paintings have even been thrown out into the snow or in a puddle of water and left over night. He then takes them out, lets them dry and applies a sealer. Rocco has been inspired by many artisit such as Jackson Pollack and O'keefe...He also has embraced metal smithing and sculpture in the past....please enjoy and remember to always be an advocate for the arts...
